You rely on the barrage of missiles taking down the enemy threats, as opposed to, say, having army-wide FnP, weight of numbers, a 2+, a 3++, or very tough transports.

Flekkzo - this article tried, as much as possible, to skirt around the actual mechanics of listbuilding as that is a whole different topic. That said, a list that min/maxes is by definition more efficient than one that doesn't. While it can of course be more challenging and more rewarding to take a Battleforce, it's bad advice to recommend it. It'd be like someone new to first-person shooters not starting on default difficulty...or starting multiplayer instead of solo.

As far as KP Denial and such goes (ps - horrible attempt at a strategy, generally speaking) these things are only of limited use if your army list doesn't support you. Its not a *huge* stretch to say that army list dictates available strategy.TheKing Elessarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04981821487098781957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6638616785966104829.post-63470746978630583712010-11-26T10:24:30.806+00:002010-11-26T10:24:30.806+00:00awesome article is awesome. And am starting up jumper blood angels, from my games they are all about pure aggression.

My fourth army is loganwing. Which moves so slowly you have to think a few turns ahead as far as moving goes. And while it has a billion missile shots to kill people, it lacks the efficient alpha strike of guard. What kind of army do you think this is?Eidolonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11920292071629097576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6638616785966104829.post-48320484593287376272010-11-26T04:17:07.183+00:002010-11-26T04:17:07.183+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.Flekkzohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14508641232973488303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6638616785966104829.post-37609196914296094082010-11-26T04:16:31.427+00:002010-11-26T04:16:31.427+00:00Building a list with different criterias than min/...Building a list with different criterias than min/max doesn't mean you don't want to win. Just that you want to win with *that* list. While listbuilding is a skill, it doesn't stop tactics/strategy from working if you don't adhere to a certain school.

I guess you could say that you win a kill point mission either by slaughter or denial, and objectives by taking or denying. To quote the article. The mission :)

I like the new Dark Eldar as they seem to be good at a lot of interesting things :) Like 36" moves and Killy cc:)Flekkzohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14508641232973488303noreply@blogger.com
