Does.
Seriously, this film was so good that I'm beginning to doubt Iron Man 2 will be the best film of the year. Obviously, there is some stern competition (and I didn't get around to seeing Sherlock Holmes, I hear it's good?) not least with PotC apparently coming out in Spetember - but Kick Ass is the surprise package. It's the cleverest film I've seen since Little Miss Sunshine (which I saw in, I think, November) and certainly ranks up there with Watchmen and Iron Man as a great superhero film.
It has a great premise, excellent writing (John Romita Jr!) good direction, and solid acting throughout. I'm not often a fan of child actors, but the little girl (Chloe Moretz) was pretty much the star of the show. Imagine GoGo from Kill Bill, then imagine actual character development. Or even just a personality, in fairness. Kill Bill was trash.
Anyway - Good Film Indeed, I highly recommend it. Now, back to 40k, huh?

Do want!
Holmes was a terrible movie.
I enjoy Holmes books (or, did as a kid anyway, it's been a while!)
I'm worried I'll get all butthurt about continuity and stuff.
LIKE, VERY LIKE, ASSASSIN LITTLE GIRL = EPIC, BY DEFINITION.
LOOK IT UP, IT ARE FACT.
So Nick Cage didn't manage to drag the movie into the refuse bin?
PS, I don't generally like Mr. Cage, but sort of was kind of thinking of perhaps seeing this movie soon.
I am a big Cage fan tbh, but I think I'd have kinda enjoyed his 'semi-pathetic loser, semi-hardnut butcher' performance, even though he spends a lot of time being a foil for his 'daughter'. His imitation of Batman's speech pattern while in costume has to be seen to be believed!
