New FAQs up on the GW site, seemingly for everybody. Have begun at the bottom, with the Nids, and this alone prompted me to post - SItW now (finally!) affects things inside Transports.

Just read the Guard FAQ.

If those were really asked, I dont know what to think anymore about the 40k community.
But now they have made Priests and Techpriest be the mandatory HQ.
Well, I never knew that, and that may be a new avenue for some people. It'll save points anyway.
One thing I am happy about though, is that my Mechanised Platoon can now be deployed in DoW games.....Muh ha ha ha.
(Or thats at least how I have interpretated it)
Yeah, that made me happy alright. deploying 7 tanks and 6 squads in DoW, oh yeah!

As for the Platoons thing...ugh. Guard really didn't need it, no. But, fixing Combat Squads is huge, so perhaps they think it's a counterpoint.

I Take Exception to that! There are plenty of really good Eldar lists out there.
Loved the guard updates, some worrying as mentioned tha tpeople needed it clarified, some awesome like the platoons and the new HQ choices...
Will def make guard in chimeras at midfield much more fun. the meltagun holders are prob frothing now at how close they can get right off the bat.
Where as my Blobs are now giggling at the amount of turn's they'll save walking across the table.

@Duce - indeed, although this whole can they/can't they with Chimeras is something I'd like to hear your opinion of?
@TKE, i've seen the same, the way i read it is the transports are part of the platoon since their dedicated transports for the squads (And considering i'm not using them but pure infantry that hopefully shows less bias... I'd have no problem playing someone using that way).

I posted a S6 spam army here a few months ago. Dual Ataurk, so always gets the first shots. Lots Of spiders, Walkers (some with Scater, some with Missile), Vipers, Fire dragons, and Some Jet Bikes to score (and trow out some more S6 shots!)
It is Brutal, and can take out 2 Armor 14 Platforms Pretty Reliably.
I ran an Eldar army at Caledoninan Uprising last weekend and came 50th! Not bad considering it's the first major tournament I've played in for at least 4 years. I still believe Eldar have what it takes to come top10 when played right, but I don't think they're capable of winning something that big.
