Army (Intermission) Poll!

Just a short announcement - I have a fair bit of time to ready my army for WarpCon in January, so I want some feedback on exactly which army I should use.  As I usually build a new army for every Tournament I attend, I'm tempted to go with that tradition - but this one will cost me a bit more than the usual, so I'm tempted to actually practice with the army, figuring that gives me a better chance of not feeling screwed as soon as Turn One begins and I realise my Deployment is horrid.
So, I'm going to be putting up a poll to see which army you guys think I should use, but first, I want you to add any further suggestions, as I'm interested in what you guys think I should run.  You can suggest a theme, a list, or just a Codex - whatever floats the proverbial.  The thread will remain open for suggestions for a week, then I will crop it into a poll in the sidebar.  Thanks in advance for contributing!

Armies I can run right now:
MechDar
FootDar (LOL!)
CSM (Plague Marines, duh!)
Mech Orks
Green Tide

Armies I can run with a little work:
Orks as Space Wolves
Space Marines (Scythes of the Emperor)
Orks as Tyranids

Armies I can run with significant work:
Orks as Jumper BA
Mech Blood Angels
Vet Imperial Guard (no Platoons!)
Raven Guard (fluffy list)
Daemons

Armies I won't run, under any circumstances:
Daemonhunters (except MAYBE if they get a new Codex, and I can convert easily/get free stuff)
Necrons
Dark Eldar (not buying into DE at this stage.)
WH (See DE)
Orks as SM (why bother?)
Orks as Eldar (haven't finished one FalcOrk yet, nevermind them all)
Orks as Guard (too expensive to Mech up)
Tau (unless Rick will lend me an army...unlikely)
Nids themselves (again, cost is an issue for them)

So, any ideas/early votes?

Mechdar or Scythes, though the Orky counts-as would be interesting.

Should the poll give you multiples? (Ah innuendo)

As many as one could handle at a time.

OrkDar....

Seriously though MechDar or the slimy marines.

'Orks as Space Wolves'
What?

Whichever shitehawks get the army book later this year as the army released in January next year won't be legal for use as books must be available for at least 1 month before the tournament.

That's looking like Daemonhunters or Torture-porn-dominatrix-space-elves.

Cheers for the plug by the way.

lol - that's nothing. You'll get proper pimping when I get my Tourny Pack! :D

Orks as Wolves is a simple 'Counts As' job. ThunderBoar Cavalry, Hunterz in various Eavy Armour with Slugga, Choppa and Shoota, and Loota Fangs wiv Missul Longchers.

Maybe a few Razurs fer ferryin Boyz about.

Well if you want to do Mech Guard I can lend you a few* tanks and the infantry to go with as I'll probably be taking my bikers.

Theres Gaelcon in October or will you still be in Scotland?

*2000 points worth to be precise (although not all colour co-ordinated unfortunately)

I will be home for October, but I'd struggle to get it off work. And, frankly, to do anything for it.

Honestly, I haven't even got the interest for a flame war right now.

I just want to drift into blissful oblivion, and see what happens tomorrow...

Go with Mechdar. Mechdar all the way.
Ride that pony until it collapses out from under you.

Footdar bc it works and no one rly runs it giving you the unfamiliar edge, orks counts as would be too conteversally funny. lol
