Armies In Focus; 6th Edition: Dark Eldar, Initial Thoughts

Dark Eldar.

Within itself, this Codex is great.  Fantastic internal balance, lots of seemingly solid choices, good spread of special rules without being overly complex or silly.  Reasonable or good statlines for most things.  Only a couple of units that feel over- or under-costed relative to their 'rivals' in the Codex, or to the baseline rules themselves.

The problems for DE start, however, when you begin to compare across Codexes to what other races cost for what THEY can do, especially to your vehicles...but this isn't their only flaw.

Exclusive! Pictures of the NEW FLYERS! Stormtalon, Ork Bommas, Night/Doom Scythe! (In the sense that major print media claim exlcusives of things that were news some time before their publication, but never get called on it by each other, for obvious reasons!)

It has come to my attention that pictures of these from the upcoming White Dwarf have been leaked to the interwebs, and it is my great pleasure to present the to you here, now, for the first, or possibly not-first, time!

Abhuman Defenders of Golgotha...

We all know what these squat abhumans are or were, mentioned only briefly and not by name, in the imperial Guard Codex.  (Page 24, if you're interested.)

I've been giving it some thought this morning, as I had my breakfast, and came up with some initial ideas for a nice little homebrew of how to represent them.

I have more ideas than I have time to type up now, but here's some teaser stuff...
